The home of Dracula, and Captain Cook

Whitby, a beautiful old port, the moors above full with purple haze from the blooming heather.

Fish and Chips by the harbor

A brew with a view, Whitby Abby.

Scotland for a day

Slight exaggeration, they were there for 2 nights to catch up with a Uni friend of Lynx. Went to the glen next door to see the Highland Games and drove back into England via Edinburg for a chance meeting with Gooses cousin who is also traveling.

Walking their dogs, Dylan and Isla

Highland Games

Edinburg

Woke to more rain!

But it stopped by noon, so they caught a bus to the crag to climb, then walked 7 miles back to the campsite

Finally some good weather

A hike in the Lake District above Buttermere.

The Langdales

A magical place in the Lake District with no Wi-Fi or phone service. A walk to a popular very polished climb.

Mixing cocktails in the van, blackberries picked from just outside the back door

Next day a walk in the rain, that ends at a pub, imagine that

Catching up in Grassington

Lynx and Goose drive to Grassington to visit the mum of a friend of Goose, and to reminisce about late nights in her village pub.  This village is also where the new “All Creatures Great and Small” show is filmed.

Off for a climb in the Yorkshire dales

Camped that night in the middle of no where, Viaduct View.

Glad the sat nav did not send them over this ford!
